Subject: Call for Nominations: Help Shape ADLM's Future Leadership
Dear ADLM Member:
ADLM is now accepting nominations for the 2027 ADLM elections.
We invite you to help shape the future of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine by nominating qualified colleagues to serve in key leadership positions beginning August 1, 2027.
The following positions will be elected by the membership:
- President-Elect (one position)
- Board of Directors (two positions)
- Nominating Committee (three positions)
All positions carry a three-year term beginning August 1, 2027, and ending July 31, 2030.
Why Nominate?
ADLM seeks leaders who are committed to advancing the association's mission, supporting its members, and helping guide the future of laboratory medicine. Strong candidates are active and engaged members who have demonstrated leadership, professional achievement, and a commitment to service within ADLM and the profession. Professional members located both within and outside the United States are eligible for nomination.
Position Overviews
President-Elect: The president-elect serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, progressing to President and later Immediate Past President. This leadership pathway represents a multi-year commitment and plays a critical role in guiding ADLM's strategic direction.
Board of Directors: Board members serve three-year terms and are responsible for providing strategic oversight and governance for the association. Board members are expected to participate in three in-person board meetings annually, as well as additional virtual meetings as needed.
ADLM Nominating Committee: The ADLM Nominating Committee is charged with identifying and selecting candidates for future ADLM leadership positions, helping to build and sustain a strong leadership pipeline for the association. Committee members participate in several virtual meetings throughout the nomination cycle.

How to Submit a Nomination
Nominations will be accepted September 1 through October 16, 2026, and may be submitted online using the ADLM Nomination Form:
Written nominations identifying the position for which the nominee is being proposed may also be submitted to _________ Chair of the Nominating Committee through governance@myadlm.org.
Important Deadline
All nominations must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on October 16, 2026.
The 2026-2027 Nominating Committee will review all nominations and develop the slate of candidates that will be presented to the membership for election in May 2027.
